There's always another way

Not everything has to be lost

We may have now a better hand to play

Monday 19th of September 2016. My heart is broken. Aches. I have no idea of what is going on, nor the slightly clue of how to continue.

Denial and anger don’t go well together. Jeff and I spent the weekend looking at properties in England. Although Somerset had a lot to offer, nothing really matched the vision we created in France.

So… what now? With three little ones joining the clan at the end of October, we now have very little time to play with.

So… what then? Shall we just leave it and wait for the kids to settle and rethink the move in a couple of years?

The fantastic Greenham Barton house in Somerset was the one contender we consider to buy and stay in England.

Staying in England  also involved a move; our traditional Victorian townhouse would soon be outgrown with the addition of
three boys and, after our weekend research, we knew how expensive that was going to be.

Then came the inevitable “What if…”, What if we take the money sitting in the bank and look for another chateau? Now, cash in hand, we are in a much better position to negotiate the price. We could then buy it, start the reno and when the kids were ready to handle the move, the six of us could jump in the car and start a new adventure.

Okay, it is time to go back online then. talk to you soon!
